About Us
Thanks for stopping by. Read on to learn a little about me (Jeanne Stuemke) and my family.
Dale and I live in Granbury, Texas. We are originally
from Minnesota, but we have lived in Texas since 1981. By now, I think we can be
considered Texans! We both worked at IBM for most of our careers, and we have
both been "downsized." Dale now works as a contractor at IBM. We have an
internet business where you can purchase
Amway products and have them delivered directly to you.
I have been buying and selling antiques and collectibles on the internet for
nine years. I previously sold my personal antiques and collectibles on eBay and
also owned an antique and collectible shop on Ruby Lane named Hometown
Collectibles. In addition, I owned two antique booths at antique malls in
Arlington and Austin, Texas.
I now sell antiques and collectibles on the Attic Shoppe and on eBay. I also make handmade greeting cards using antique postcards from the early 1900s and sell them on
Victorian Cards.
I hand knit scarves and sell old craft books and old sewing patterns on
My Vintage
Crafts.
We have two grown children and fivegrandchildren! Our daughter is a curriculum developer in Ft. Worth,
and our son is an attorney in Dallas.
Dale and I have always enjoyed collecting antiques and collectibles. We have
gotten to the point where our house is full! I am downsizing most of our current
collections and finding other good buys at auctions, estate sales, garage sales,
and store liquidations and then offering them to you at the Attic Shoppe.
Some of my interests...
I enjoy collecting antiques and collectibles, playing with my grandchildren,
reading, knitting, crocheting, counted cross stitch, decorating my home, traveling,
and using the Internet. I also enjoy interacting with my customers to provide them
with that special antique or collectible they are looking for.
I have a recipe blog of old recipes! When I think of antiques and collectibles, I also think of old-fashioned
cooking and the
old-time recipes I have collected over the last 40 years or so. Many of these old recipes are from my personal collection, some are
from friends and family, and I have found many wonderful recipes at estate sales. Take a look, and enjoy! I will continue to add more
recipes as time goes on...
