Fostoria American Line 2056 Book

View Vintage Books Category

This hardcover Fostoria American Line 2056 Book, a Schiffer Book for Collectors, is the revised and expanded 2nd Edition with updated price guide. The author is Leslia Pina, a professor at Ursuline College in Pepper Pike, Ohio.

Fostoria is one of the best known and admired names in American glass. Probably more brides and homemakers in America have received gifts of and purchased glassware made at the Fostoria factory in Moundsville, West Virginia, than any other glass company. During its century of operation, the range of style, form, decoration, color, and manufacturing technique was tremendous; only the fine quality remained constant.

From 1915 until the factory closed in 1986, one pattern--American No. 2056--has remained a favorite, if not the most popular pattern sought after by glass collectors. This book presents the hundreds of individual glass items in this amazing line, shown in more than 400 color photographs supplemented by black and white illustrations, with detailed captions, a value guide, quick reference section, and an index.

It will fascinate and inform both the advanced and beginning collector, and no dealer should be without it.

The copyright date of the hardcover book is 2002, and it contains 160 pages. It is 8-3/4" x 11-1/4".

This Fostoria American reference book is from a nonsmoking, pet-free home. It is in excellent condition. No torn pages, writing, or staining.
