Vintage Dolly Dingle Figurines
Goebel and Hummel Trademarks
All these vintage Dolly Dingle figurines are from my personal collection. We moved into a new home, and I do not have room to display them. These Dolly Dingle figurines were previously displayed behind glass and are all in excellent condition.
Do Dolly Dingles remind you of the Campbell Soup Kids? There is a good reason - both were created by Grace G. Drayton.
Dolly Dingles started out in paper doll form from 1913 to 1933 and as collector items even beyond. In the early 1980s, Goebel started creating Dolly Dingle figurines. All authentic Dolly Dingles have the incised signature of G. G. Drayton and the Goebel trademark on the base.
The first eight in the Dolly Dingle series represent her travels in Holland, Germany, Spain, and Italy. She is shown with each of her friends from these countries: Hansie, Hans, Don Juan, and Beppo.
She continues her travels through Europe with visits to France and Scotland where she met up Pierre and Scottie. Tired from her whirlwind travels around Europe, Dolly and her good friend Billy Bumps are ready to call it a day as they appear in their pajamas read for bed.
For those special occasions when ordinary wine glasses aren't quite good enough, dress up your table and enhance your enjoyment with the Dolly Dingle wine glasses. Each stem is a replica of its corresponding figurine in the Dolly Dingle series. They are 2-1/4" high and depict Dolly Dingle and her friend Billy Bumps in the traditional dress of Germany, Italy, Spain, and Holland. Each goblet with its glass bowl and base measures 6-1/2" tall.
