Goebel and Hummel Trademarks

Send your friends a link to this page

Goebel Germany has made many figurines, plates, and bells over the years. One of their most famous is their line of Goebel Hummel figurines. The word "Hummel" means bumblebee. I am selling my personal collection of Goebel Co-Boys and a duplicate Dolly Dingle figurine named Don Juan.

To determine if a Goebel collectible is a genuine Goebel or Hummel figurine, look for the definitive marks of identification. Each piece has a mold number incised on the bottom and an official Goebel stamp or trademark on the underside. While the Hummel trademark has changed over the years, each authentic M. I. Hummel figurine has a Goebel stamp on its underside. Hummel and Goebel figurines are highly sought after by collectors with several models valued at hundreds, even thousands, of dollars per piece.

The following tables help to date and identify Goebel and Hummel pieces. Source: www.mihummel.com
