Goebel Co-Boy Figurine - Kuni the Big Dipper 1970
This Goebel CoBoy vintage collectible figurine is named Kuni the Big Dipper and
was made by Goebel Germany. This Goebel figurine has a paint brush and paint. He
is numbered 515, has the Goebel trademark TMK6, is dated 1970, and is 7-3/4" tall.
He comes complete with its original story card. Co-Boys are perfect examples
of Goebel collectibles.
This Goebel figure is from my personal collection of Goebel porcelain and is
in very good condition. He is not faded and has a clear name tag. There are no chips,
cracks, paint flaws, crazing, or repairs.
Here is the story of Kuni. Kuni is called "Spotter" because he drips paint all
over when painting. As a young boy, he decided to become an artist when he saw the
famous artist Pick Asso at work in the Cathedral. Poor Kuni has no talent. However,
he is quite happy because he is the official painter of Co-Boys Village and does
all the house painting wherever necessary. It doesn't bother him in the least that
his nickname is "Spotter" because he earns lots of money using his brush and paint.
