Red Wing Pottery Commemorative Figurines
Red Wing commemorative figurines are highly collectible figurines and are noted
for their beautiful style. Many of these vintage retired Red Wing figurines are
hard to find. Each year since 1977 the Red Wing Collector's Society has produced
a Red Wing figurine to commemorate the annual Society Convention. Only members are
allowed to originally purchase these items. These are from my personal collection.
Red Wing pottery is valued for its beauty and utilitarian design. Red Wing stoneware
and pottery was decorated with a number of different designs: two leaves, butterfly,
single "P," double "P," bird, flowers, boysenberry, and a swirling "dropped 8."
The most famous is the red wing design that so effectively connected the piece with
the company that produced it.
