This fine Sevres crystal figurine is from Cristal de Sevres of France, a world famous crystalier. It is is a highly collectible glass figurine and is a very high-quality piece of crystal glass figurine. This France Sevres is a satin glass figurine of a chicken sitting on top a shiny round glass ball. It would make a great crystal Sevres figurine or a heavy paperweight. The bottom is acid-etched "Sevres France." I tried to take a picture of it, but I couldn't get the engraving.

This company was founded over 250 years ago and continues to produce some of the very finest crystal in the world. The original mission of Cristal de Sevres was to provide perfect glass crystal to the court of King Louis XV of France. Their centuries old heritage of perfection continues today with exquisite representations of the glassblower's art.

I bought this Sevres piece from the estate of a very wealthy Norwegian sea captain who purchased items from around the world. He and his wife had a magnificent collection of glass pieces, and this paperweight was part of that collection.

This crystal  glass figurine is in very good condition. There are no chips or cracks, but there a few very minor scratches on the side of the base. I didn't see them until I was listing this item, so they are not very obvious! What a perfect gift for yourself, that Sevres crystal collector, or that special bird lover!

Measurements: 4-3/4" tall, and the base is 2-3/4" wide.
