This 6-3/4" antique Tiffin sky blue satin glass candle holder is from the 1930s.
Note the beautiful sky blue color and the twisted stem in this piece of elegant
depression glass. It is a stunning piece! I love the look of Tiffin glassware.
I purchased this piece of satin Tiffin glass from a man in his 70s. He
said this aqua glass compote belonged to his mother and that it was from the 1930s.
Measurements: 6-3/4" tall, 7-3/8" across the top, and 3-3/4" across the base
This Tiffin crystal piece of antique glass is in excellent condition - no chips,
cracks, or repairs. There are a few rubs on the inside of the piece due to use.
A compote is a bowl, usually footed, used to serve mixed fruits. The original
term used was "comport" or "comporte" and was the vessel used to hold the fruit
mix that was called the compote. Today, we commonly use the term "compote" to describe
either. Compotes may also be used to refer to pedestal-footed candy, jelly, or cheese
items.
