Murano Green Bullicante Bowl

This Murano art glass bowl is from the 1950s. It is a deep, rich medium green color with controlled bubbles or bullicante throughout. This gorgeous, old Italian Murano glass Italy piece is very sculptural with soft, flowing lines. The pigtail twist or fold on the long side helps make this a very interesting piece. I have heard similar pieces called Murano glassware, Murano Venetian glass, or Venetian glass.

Murano crystal is made in Murano, Italy, a suburb of Venice, on five small islands in the Venetian lagoon. Murano is noted for its glassmaking industry dating back to the late 13th century.

This Murano accessory measures 7-1/4" long, 5-1/4" across, and 2-1/2" tall.

This item is in excellent condition - no chips, cracks, or repairs.
