Weiss Bracelet - Double Strand Rhinestone - Signed
This gorgeous two-strand rhinestone bracelet is signed Weiss on the clasp and
is probably from the 1950s. It is approximately 1/2" wide and 6-3/4” long counting
the clasp. This item comes packaged in a beautiful gift box.
This costume jewelry bracelet is in very good condition. There is no wear that
I can see. The rhinestones are all present and secure in their settings. The clasp
fastens tightly. The rhinestones, however, are slightly grey due to their age.
That is the reason I am discounting the price of this beautiful Weiss bracele.
The Weiss Jewelry Company was founded in New York City in 1942 by a former Coro
employee, Albert Weiss. The company flourished during the 1950s and 1960s period,
offering high quality costume jewelry with excellent Austrian rhinestones of exceptional
quality and clarity. Weiss jewelry has somewhat traditional designs, including floral
and figural jewelry. Weiss jewelry is comparable to Eisenberg and Bogoff jewelry.
Without a doubt, the company manufactured some of the most beautiful jewelry and
appealing rhinestone jewelry of the post WWII era. The firm ceased operations in
the early 1970s, and prices are rapidly rising.
