This signed Weiss Christmas tree pin is beautiful and very sparkly. It is plated
in a gold-toned finish and set with many orangish-red colored rhinestones. This
orangish-red color is very unusual. Note the beautifully scalloped bottom edge.

The Weiss Jewelry Company was founded in New York City in 1942 by a former Coro
employee, Albert Weiss. The company flourished during the 1950s and 1960s period,
offering high quality costume jewelry with excellent Austrian rhinestones of exceptional
quality and clarity. Weiss jewelry has somewhat traditional designs, including floral
and figural jewelry. Weiss jewelry is comparable to Eisenberg and Bogoff jewelry.
Without a doubt, the company manufactured some of the most beautiful jewelry and
appealing rhinestone jewelry of the post WWII era. The firm ceased operations in
the early 1970s, and prices are rapidly rising.
