Pegasus Coro Demi Parure Necklace and Earrings - Signed

This early matching rhinestone necklace and rhinestone earring set is signed Coro with the winged horse hallmark Pegasus. The necklace is also marked "DES. PAT. PENDING." for Design Patent Pending. This vintage costume jewelry comes packaged in a beautiful gift box.

The vintage necklace has 9 dark blue rhinestones and 18 light blue rhinestones in a flower and leaf motif. The vintage earrings have two dark blue and ten light blue stones in each earring.

This vintage costume jewelry pieces are in excellent condition - I see no problems. The rhinestones are bright and sparkling, and the metal is nice and shiny.

The rhinestone necklace is approximately 16-1/2"long, and the metal and rhinestone design area is 5-1/4" long. The rhinestone clip-back earrings are about 1-1/4" x 3/4".

Emanuel Cohn and Gerard Rosenberg opened a small shop in New York about 1900 selling jewelry and personal accessories, later becoming known as Coro.  The mark incorporates the first two letters of each partner's name.  By the mid 1920's, Coro was the largest manufacturer of costume jewelry with a work force of over 2,000. Coro went out of business in 1979 after 80 years of making costume jewelry.
