Vintage Lamp with Italian Marble Base

This vintage lamp is set on a white and grey marble base with a block of marble above it. The tall brass lamp piece swivels back and forth. I haven't seen that before in a lamp. The bottom of the lamp says "Marble-Base / GD - Made in Italy."

Measurements of this vintage table lamp:  14-1/2" tall. The base is approximately 4-1/2" square and 3/4" tall, and the block of marble is about 2" square.

I purchased this antique marble-based lamp from a man in his 70s.  He said this vintage lamp belonged to his mother and that it was probably from the 1950s. It would make a perfect bedroom reading lamp.

This old marble lamp is in very good condition - no chips, cracks, or repairs. The brass is discolored as is common with brass pieces of this age. I put a light bulb in it, and it worked fine.
