Linen Guest Towel - Designed by Tammis Keefe - Original Tag
This vintage linen guest towel was designed by Tammis Keefe in a deep chocolate
brown with an unusual bumble bee set in the center of a pineapple! Three sides are
hemmed, and the bottom edge is fringed. This is pretty enough to frame or use in
the guest bath!
Tammis Keefe is a well-known designer, and her signed linens are truly collectibles! She
was born in 1920 and died in 1960. In 1953 she began designing for Kimbal Scarves.
Her designs are often whimsical and typical of the 1950s. She is well known for
designing hankies, but she also designed many types of linens with her signature
on them. Her kitchen designs are smart and fresh. All the designs with the Tammis
Keefe signature on them were actually designed by her.
This vintage linen towel is in excellent condition and has never been used. The
original tag on it says "Warranted All Linen."
It measures approximately 10" x 16".
