Antique Cast Iron German Christmas Tree Stand

The lady I bought this cast iron German Christmas tree stand from purchased it many years ago in Germany at a German Christmas Market. She said It was old when she purchased it 20 or 30 years ago.

This cast iron tree stand is 9 " square and has openwork and embossed detailing. Two sides are decorated with a bell and the other two sides are decorated with candles. The opening for the tree is 2" and there are three metal screws. There is writing on the bottom (probably the name of the manufacturer), but I cannot read it...

The lady I bought it from said she used this Christmas tree stand as a candle holder when she lived in German. Very creative idea!

This German tree stand is in very good condition for its age. It is nice and sturdy, the metal screws work fine, there are no broken pieces, and the metal does not appear to be deteriorated. The top has some surface rust, and the bottom is rusty. It could use some cleaning - I have not attempted that.

I purchased two of these German cast iron Christmas tree stands from the same lady. Take a look at the other similar tree stand.
