Nippon Hand Painted Sugar and Creamer - Very Early Pieces
Send your friends a link to this page
This early Nippon sugar and creamer was made in Japan between 1891 and 1921.
It is authentic and not a reproduction! Nippon porcelain is among the most
highly-collected and sought after of all antique china.
I love the hand painted design - beautiful pink flowers, green leaves, and gold
embellishments.
This set includes the creamer, sugar, and sugar lid. The creamer is 3-1/4" tall.
The sugar is 3" tall without the lid and 4-1/4" tall with the lid on.
These pieces are in excellent condition - no chips or fading. The gold is in
remarkable condition - only very slight wearing in a couple of areas. There are
a few places where there are small extraneous paint flecks - I guess this happens
when the piece is handpainted. It certainly does not detract from the beauty of
the pieces - I just want to let you know so you won't be surprised.
The mark on the bottom of the sugar bowl is a light blue circle with a crown
in the center. The words above the crown are: "Hand Painted" and "Nippon" is underneath
the crown.
